Here's the rub: the casting of blame and guilt. We still live in a dominant paradigm of moral right and moral wrong which is fundamental to materialism. If the self is contained in the body, then it can do good or bad, the individual bears responsibility for their actions, and can be at fault. To DO wrong (like, to spend your life making incorrect assumptions about the universe) is to BE wrong under materialism/Ego-identification/what have you. It is only when we understand that the self is infinite and functions more like a gerund than a noun that we can take things as they are without the judgments clouding our perceptions. But until a critical mass has reached that point (or maybe, I personally within my own quantum reality need to reach a further point than I have blah blah who knows?), we will continue to point fingers, and that will continue to be the symptom and cause.
