I guess I’m failing to see how your analysis is helpful. Whom among us can truly say we’re committed to freedom always or universally? While I certainly don’t equate the cultures of the Right and the Left or view them equally, I do think that any analysis that’s (subconsciously?) rooted in a belief that Conservatives are essentially “just bad people” isn’t going to help us transform the situation. I’m curious what your response is to the appeals for empathy and building solidarity towards a shared future of survival and thriving beyond “they’re bad so we must dominate them” politics, if you care to share.
