Thanks for the good self-check from this article, I give far too much unsolicited advice. Largely because of this: I realized how many of my own "external circumstances" were actually me being my own worst enemy, how many choices I made willingly that were directly antithetical to my own well-being, and how many things I prioritized above being happy. And in doing that, began to realize how much people don't prioritize being happy. We prioritize just about everything else above simply doing whatever we can to experience greater happiness.
And, like a born-again Christian, I cannot stop trying to get people to see how they're acting against their own happiness. Because the reality is that we are. But I also know that, before I experienced it for myself, I'd want to punch me in the face for saying so.
