Is the world run by an evil elite cabal, or just by bad design?

I lie back in the grass and frown as the planes zig-zag white scribbles through the sky. Personally, I’m more inclined to be concerned about nitrogen fertilizer in the soil than chem trails in the clouds. My issue with the planes is the carbon emissions.

I’m a mixed bag when it comes to conspiracy theories. I don’t believe in QAnon, but I sure as hell don’t think Epstein killed himself. I’m not an anti-vaxxer, but I do think modern medicine tends to push pharmacological and surgical interventions at the expense of every other kind of healthcare.

But I think that problem stems more privatized healthcare being subject to capitalist profit motives, combined with the narrow scope of standard experimental models making it difficult to assess collective, let alone spiritual, modes of healing.

I don’t think the problems in our medical system are result of a conspiracy against “us” by some nefarious “them.” Capitalism and Cartesian dualism have such a stranglehold on the beliefs and laws of Western civilization, they don’t need a cabal. Beliefs and habits get ingrained and spread through cultures like viruses, with or without a lab leak. People believe in stupid stuff all the time. It’s not like there’s a secret…
