This is at once alarming, and also inspiring. Just switch from corporate profiteering to a democratically-managed community commons and this goes from dystopia to utopia. I hope ownership dies, for individuals as well as corporations. We don't own land. Land owns itself. We subscribe to it, more or less, and that subscription is meant to come with a cost of responsible care. The sooner we get back to that relationship of reciprocal care rather than ownership as the basis of our entire social order, the better. Now, that's not what you're writing about here obviously, but I can imagine a own-nothing-subscribe-to-everything mentality being ripe for transition into a truly cooperative economy and a return to the commons.
